Day 1 - 10th Sept 2010

Day 1, was for us to drive to Tg. Piai which is located in Johor. Why Tg. Piai ? Well, its the lowest point in the Asian Continent and for our trip to make sense (Long Way North) we had to start from the Southern most tip of the Asian Continent.

The plan is to drive from Bkt Beruntung (my home) to Tg. Piai. Record our arrival with photographs and then head to Melaka for a night stop.

Along the way from Johor to Melaka, we had a GPS malfunction (read human cock up), and were guided to another route which was sandy & muddy. Which explains the mud on the van.

When we reached Melaka, it was crowded and getting a Hotel room seemed impossible because it was Hari Raya day.

We decided to push on back to Bkt Beruntung for our night stop.
